Issues in Christian Education

Issues in Christian Education is a publication of the faculty of Concordia University, Nebraska and offers clear prose from scholar-practitioners for the church.  Not a research journal or a magazine, Issues stakes out the territory of exploring, discussing, and applying knowledge from Scripture and from God’s left-hand kingdom—the world—to our work for God’s right-hand kingdom and the Gospel, especially in the church’s education ministries.  Our partner site is The Two Kingdoms Network.

Lutheran Special Education Ministries (LSEM)

Lutheran Special Education Ministries (LSEM) is a Registered Service Organization of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Since our founding in 1873 as the Lutheran School for the Deaf in Detroit, our mission has been to meet the specialized educational needs of children while allowing them to learn and grow in a Christ-centered academic setting. Today, LSEM partners with schools and congregations across the country, providing certified resource room teachers, special education consultation, professional development and informational opportunities for classroom teachers, pastors, and families. Through our network of Christian special education professionals, LSEM is helping schools within the LCMS build brighter futures for their students.

Lutherans for Life

Lutherans For Life believes that the Church is compelled by God’s Word to speak and act on behalf of those who are vulnerable and defenseless. The crisis of our times is the repudiation of Biblical truth manifested in the wanton destruction of innocent human life through legalized abortion-on-demand and the growing threat to the lives of others through legalized assisted suicide and euthanasia. Therefore, as Lutherans For Life, we will strive to give a Gospel-motivated witness, to the Church and society on these and other related issues such as chastity, post abortion healing, and family living. We will call God’s people to compassionate action and foster life-affirming alternatives for those facing difficult situations.
