Why Gather Statistics?
The LCMS School Ministry Office collects yearly school statistical information from the nearly 1,900 Lutheran Early Childhood, Elementary and High Schools around the country. This information enables the School Ministry and LCMS District offices to best serve all schools with the knowledge of the overall makeup of the Lutheran education system. Additionally, yearly statistics allow for the interpretation and analysis of trend data related to Lutheran schools both currently and from a historical perspective. For these reasons it is critically important that all Lutheran school administrators take the time to fill out and submit their yearly statistics reports by the deadline indicated in the communications they receive.

Where are My Previous Statistics Reports?
Prior to the 2015-2016 school year, the statistics reporting process took place through the Lutheran School Portal and copies of reports were available directly to schools. However, with the implementation of the new statistics reporting system, all schools must follow the instructions on the final pages of the online submission process instructing them to PRINT or SAVE the information they are about to submit as it will not be directly available to them after submission. If a school has not followed these instructions and needs copies of their statistics forms from 2015 until present, or if they need a copy of their historical reports, they will either need to contact their LCMS District Office or the LCMS Office of Rosters, Statistics, and Research Services (Rosters.Stats@lcms.org) to request a copy.
