The NLSA team is excited to announce another one of our NLSA Powerful Practice Webinars being held during this 2017-2018 academic year. The next NLSA sponsored webinar will be held this afternoon, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 4:00 pm, CT. This webinar will be led by staff members from Concordia Lutheran School in San Antonio, Texas. This week’s webinar will be about their Gifted Talented & Enrichment Program. We will hear from Principal, Sally McBee, Assistant Principal, Annette Wright, and GT & E Teacher, Stephanie Schropp.
Webinar Topic: Gifted Talented and Enrichment Program
The staff members at Concordia will share philosophy, values, identification, and program goals of their Gifted, Talented and Enrichment Program. Their school of 402 students provides them opportunities and various staff members who are able to provide varied levels of enrichment classes and activities. Some of the course of study and strategies include critical thinking, complex analysis, logic, problem solving, research, and technology. How can a third grader build algebraic thinking through hands on activities? Can second graders use SCAMPER to strengthen their critical thinking? Join us next week and learn more about this unique program at Concordia.
Advance registration to these webinars is not required and there is no cost to attend. Attendance is limited to the first 100 guests who log-in to the event. All live NLSA Powerful Practice webinars are held at 4 PM CT and are later archived for on-demand viewing via the LCMS School Ministry YouTube page.
